Supported Employment

Do you have a disability and want to work?

At Enham Trust, we can offer you employment with a supported placement at Enham Trust or with local employers. Our advisors work with you on a one-to-one basis over 12 months to harness your skills and develop a tailored approach, to help you gain longer term employment at the end of the placement.

Glenn, who has successfully found employment

Since my time at Enham Trust, I’ve grown in confidence. I’ve met lots of new people and learnt so many new skills. – Glenn, who now works for Andover council.

How does our supported employment programme work?

Induction: Our advisors will complete an assessment with you so we can develop an action plan tailored to you. You can then start your induction with us and complete some initial training to get started.

Paid employment: After your induction, you will have paid employment at Enham Trust so you can get real work experience. This will be for a minimum of 16 hours per week. Roles might include learning barista skills at our on-site café, gardening and landscaping experience, office administration roles or factory work at one of our social enterprises.

Developing skills: During your time with us, our advisors will support you with building your employability skills including writing your CV, learning interview techniques and applying for jobs with external local employers. You can also undertake relevant training, and complete Maths and English functional skills, which is a key qualification for most employers.

Transition: At the end of your 12 month contract, our advisors will support you for a further 3 months into un-supported employment with transitional support.

How can I apply?

To apply, or find out more, please contact us and one of our advisors will help you take the first step.
