As an organisation we are following all advice provided by the various government agencies including the NHS.

The key government information sources we are using include:

In addition, as a provider of care services supporting vulnerable people, we have introduced further steps to reduce the risks of the virus spreading. These include:

  • As of Monday 8 March visits to our residents in care will recommence in a separate room outside of the homes in line with government guidance.  These must be booked in advance with testing for visitors also available.
  • Extensive COVID testing programme for all care staff and residents.
  • Closing our cafes and charity shop under any local or national lockdown rules for non-essential retail.
  • Reducing external trips by our staff and residents.
  • Stopping staff movement between our sites unless absolutely necessary.
  • Creating a task force of Enham Trust staff to actively manage this ever-evolving situation.
  • Developing and testing plans to ensure we can best manage situations and continue to keep our beneficiaries, staff and the public safe.
  • Implementing key steps for how we deal with both suspected and confirmed cases.
  • Instigating service specific measures, limiting interactions to reduce the potential spread of infection.
  • Working from home for all staff where possible.

We will continue to adapt our approach as new information is released and we will retain our focus on protecting the disabled people we care for.
