Fixed term, 12 months | Enham Alamein | From £26,000 per year 

You will lead on the fundamental control function within the Direct Payments (DP) Personal Health Budget (PHB) managed account team to ensure the accurate and timely completion of reconciliations across all bank accounts. You will maintain key systems and controls for bank reconciliations with a focus on continually strengthening the control environment.

The role

  • Deliver comprehensive Holding Accounts services; ensuring income is allocated accurately
  • Responsible for the effective operation of bank reconciliation control across all Enham Client bank accounts
  • Complete the reconciliation of the bank accounts daily, ensuring accurate records are kept and updated.
  • Balance cashbook, general ledger, and bank statements daily
  • Identify the root cause and ensuring prompt resolution of unreconciled items
  • Monitor discrepancies and coordinate with the wider team on their resolution
  • Rolling review of reconciliation differences between Access Financials and Client Money Services (CMS); identifying differences by project code and making necessary corrections
  • Develop the relationship with our commissioning authorities to improve the quality of funding remittances
  • Proactively identify problem areas, identify and implement process improvements
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably required from time to time

What we are looking for from you!

  • IT literate and competent in the use of computerised systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent understanding and working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to work to targets and deadlines, to prioritise workload and to work under strict time pressures.
  • High level of accuracy with attention to detail.
  • Ability to use your interpersonal skills to manage relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and with varying communication needs and requirements.
  • Previous experience working with financial transactions.
  • Previous Bank Reconciliation experience is essential.
  • Experience of working under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Experience of building relationships with customers, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
  • AAT level 3 or equivalent or qualified by experience.
  • Willingness to undertake any qualifications that become deemed as necessary.
