Role overview

The Board of Trustees are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, working with the Senior Leadership Team to develop the values, goals and objectives in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.

The Board meets monthly to address major decisions on Enham Trust's future strategy, investment and other policy matters. The Board act as critical advisors to the Senior Leadership Team and CEO, challenging them to continuously improve everything we do.

Our board is chaired by Professor Khalid Aziz LVO DL.

Ideal candidate

We are looking for people who care about making a difference to the lives of individuals with physical and learning disabilities and who are able to make a regular commitment to Enham Trust.

Each volunteer member of our Board is appointed based on their wide range of high level experience, contacts and interests. We are interested in hearing from people with experience in HR, Finance, Health, Housing and the public sector; however experience in Housing would be particularly advantageous at this time.

Additional information

Trustees are expected to attend an induction course at Enham Trust. Trustees are expected to regularly attend monthly board meetings, which are usually held on Monday evenings between 6pm and 8pm. There will also be other duties to be discussed with the chairman.
