At Enham Trust, the support we receive from the community around us is invaluable for providing disabled people with opportunities to grow and thrive. In this article, we are delighted to be putting the spotlight on the Andover branch of Pilgrim’s UK Lamb Ltd, a meat supplier in the village of Appleshaw near Andover.

Having been chosen as their charity of the year 2024, we welcomed Emma Moss and Melissa Dean from the Pilgrim’s UK Lamb HR Team to Enham last Summer to see us in action and learn all about Enham Trust. During the visit, we introduced Emma and Melissa to our Strive Supported Employment Team and toured our 3PL social enterprise. It was a great opportunity to share the work we do supporting disabled people into employment and working with employers to recruit and support disabled employees.

We also introduced Emma and Melissa to our Gardening team so they could learn about how corporate volunteering helps Enham Trust.

Our partnership with Pilgrim’s UK Lamb Ltd has provided us with some great opportunities to raise awareness of our organisation and broaden our relationships in the wider community.

Their wonderful support has included sponsoring our new bunting, which we proudly displayed at our Summer Fete and look forward to using at future events too.

Additionally, they helped raise over £1,500 at our Christmas Fayre by donating the burgers and sausages for the barbecue. The Andover-based team have also been busy hosting several fundraising activities. They’ve raised a total of £525 across various initiatives, including £162 at their Christmas raffle, where our very own Enham Rosemary Gin was a top prize.

And if that wasn’t enough, the team also introduced us to The Walnut Tree Appleshaw Community Team, who raised a fantastic £443 by selling our Nordmann Fir Christmas trees.

Emma says:

"Pilgrim’s UK Lamb are always keen to work with organisations within our community in order to foster positive relationships, and to provide help/support wherever we can. For 2024 our Works Council reps chose Enham as our local charity as they were inspired by the work that they did and the difference that they make. Although our support may not run into £000’s, we strongly believe that even the smallest donation can make a difference to the great work that Enham does."

We wanted to say a huge thank you to Emma, Melissa, and everyone at the Andover branch of Pilgrim’s UK Lamb Ltd for their dedication and continued support towards everything we do here at Enham Trust.

We’re incredibly grateful for our corporate partnerships, helping us to provide continued support for disabled people to live, work and enjoy life the way they choose.

If you’re a business that would be interested in supporting us, we’d love to hear from you. Please drop us a line at [email protected].
