Trudi is a fierce advocate for disability rights, and thanks to your support, she lives life to the fullest.

Trudi lives in a bungalow at Enham Trust and has been a vibrant member of the community since 2009. Before moving to Enham Trust, Trudi found it difficult to find a place that truly catered to her needs as a wheelchair user. Previous accommodations left her feeling isolated, but since coming to Enham, she’s blossomed!

Trudi says her biggest accomplishment at Enham Trust is achieving independence.  She enjoys weaving, plays Boccia, and has developed the confidence to cook her own meals.

Take your time to understand people's needs; that we are capable. Don't talk through me, talk to me."

She says.

And she's not stopping there...

Trudi is on a mission to fulfil her dream of getting her driver’s licence and her own car. Despite many hurdles, with the dedication of staff and specialists, she’s closer to hitting the open road and is excited to start driving lessons. Watch this space!

Trudi would like to say:

“Thank you for helping us all access these opportunities. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!”
