Our recent Christmas Fayre took place on Saturday 30 November at Landale Wilson Hall. It was fantastic to see the village buzzing with so many Christmas festivities.

We were graced with a joyous musical performance by the Enham E-Major Choir and the tunes kept on flowing into the evening as DJ Disco Pete took to the decks.

At 5pm, we gathered to switch on the village Christmas lights. We gave three cheers to our dear colleague and friend Allan Mitchener, who sadly passed away at the end of this past Autumn. Al supported our Gardening team and was a much-loved member of the Enham Club Committee for many years. His memory will forever live on in the Enham Trust community.

Santa then took centre stage with his magic button to start the countdown and illuminate the village Christmas tree with an array of magical coloured lights.

Although it was chilly, we were reminiscent of the summer just gone, as we tucked into a delicious BBQ, with burgers and sausages very kindly donated by the Andover branch of Pilgrim’s UK Lamb Ltd. Thank you Pilgrim’s!

The evening wrapped up with our Christmas raffle, where a wide range of prizes were up for grabs. From hampers to vouchers and our very own Enham Rosemary Gin and Christmas trees.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who played a role in making our event an outstanding success. We had many helping hands both in the forefront and behind the scenes and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you also to all of our stallholders for providing games and Christmas goods for visitors to enjoy and purchase. Your support really helped contribute to a fun-filled evening enjoyed by all.

And finally, thank you to everyone who came along to see us. You helped raise an incredible grand total of £1,518.95 which will go towards helping disabled people to live, work and enjoy life the way they choose.

Nigel Sully, Head of Gardening & Domestics and Chair of the Enham Trust Christmas Fayre Committee says:

"It was so lovely to see the community come together once again and help make the Christmas Fayre so special. On behalf of the Enham event committee, we would like to thank everyone that helped bring the event to life and we look forward to making more fantastic memories in 2025".

We hope to see many of you again at our Summer Fete next year. Stay tuned for further details in the New Year.
