Supporting you throughout the transition to Enham Living

As we mentioned in the Q&A document here (Easy Read version here), Enham Trust has put in place several support structures to help everyone on their journey from residential care to our new supported living model of care - Enham Living.

Below is a reminder of the support available which we would encourage you to engage with and take advantage of for advice and guidance and practical steps which need to be taken.

These services have been engaged by Enham Trust and have dedicated people to the Enham Living project but are entirely independent of the Trust:

Citizens Advice Welfare Benefits Advice Service which every resident and their support will be able to access. A Test Valley Citizens Advice qualified adviser will be available on an Outreach basis, please download and use the referral form on this page.

They will be able to carry out full benefit checks and assistance with this complex area and they have good liaison with the local authority. This experienced service will allow you to get all the help you need and to ensure that you are maximising your income opportunities to their fullest.

Please watch the video below from Test Valley Citizens Advice and our dedicated advisor Sharon Eaves explaining how they can help.

Workshops with All Inclusive CIC: Iain and his team will work together with Friends and Family to look at questions and concerns. They will seek to offer reassurance around the Supported Living model as well as being an independent voice throughout this process.  Support sessions for current residents are also being arranged and details will be provided shortly/can be downloaded in the document below.

Other measures of support:

  1. The current Personal Care Plans will be supported with additional information which relates to the care and support we think residents will need to live in the new model. These have been prepared by the House Managers and PAs, and we will ask residents and their support circles to provide input to this to ensure that it is accurate. This will ensure you are fully prepared for the assessment, with full support from PAs and the Care Team.
  2. Independent Advocacy Service for our residents provided by Choices Advocacy. This isn’t just for Care Act mandatory advocacy referrals but open to all for a more holistic approach. Residents and their support circle may also choose to access their own independent advocacy. Please contact the Project Team if you would like to access additional advocacy services.
  3. Access to The Princess Royal Trust for Carers. This charitable organisation independent to Enham Trust would be of specific help to residents’ Friends & Family. You can contact them on 01264 835246 or email [email protected].
  4. As ever, the Enham Living email address for questions regarding the transition for residents and Friends & Family. This is [email protected].
