Permanent | Enham Alamein | £9.50 per hour | 30 Hours - 39 Hours per week  

The Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver an efficient cleaning service to the three main care homes within the grounds of Enham Trust. You are to ensure defined areas are maintained to a clean and hygienic state, such as to add to the comfort, satisfaction and enjoyment of the residents. Cleaning will be carried out in line with infection control policies and will include both communal spaces and residents own flats.

You will have the ability to follow instructions, follow good health and safety practice and be able to work independently as well as in a small team. You will be expected to practice some basic record keeping as part of your role.

You will also be required to work flexibly including some potential holiday and sickness cover in other areas of the site that require cleaning.

Operational

  • Ensure communal spaces and residents rooms areas are maintained in a clean and hygienically acceptable standard adhering to strict infection control procedures
  • Manage Spillages and disposal of waste safely and hygienically to meet both Enham Trust and legal requirements
  • Perform tasks as directed and on a routine basis
  • Report areas of concern promptly to your supervisor / line manager
  • Adhere to health and safety legislation whilst carrying out your duties
  • Be aware of the hazards and comply with the control measures associated with a range of chemicals used in the role (COSHH)
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records
  • Ensure work is carried out in an efficient and timely manner to ensure expected budget is delivered
