This summer, we're asking you - our community - to 'don your denim' and support Radio Enham!

49% of disabled people say they feel excluded from society, are more likely to be lonely, and less likely to have digital skills to connect online.* Radio Enham gives disabled volunteers and DJs a unique way to connect with the local community, increase digital skills and get their voices heard.

Enham Trust strives for inclusivity for disabled people. Just like how denim can be customised in many ways, we adapt support, accommodation and opportunities so that disabled people can live, work and enjoy life! See how we linked it?

Join Denim for Enham and together, we can help create a more inclusive community for disabled people.

I want to take part. What do I do next?

  1. Organise a denim-inspired fundraising event, big or small, for Friday 5 July 2024 in your school, place of work or community.  Can’t do 5 July? No problem! Arrange your event for a day that suits you.

  2. Why not set up a fundraising page by clicking on the 'Fundraise' button below. You can also download our poster and sponsorship form templates to help you in your fundraising.

  3. Have a denim-tastic time! If you’re promoting your event on social media, don’t forget to tag us @EnhamTrust on X and Facebook or @enham.trust on Instagram and use the hashtag #DenimForEnham.

Need some inspiration? Here's a few ideas to get you started...

Why not...

  • Run a ‘Denim for Enham Day’ at your school or workplace by inviting people to donate to wear an item of denim - for Enham.

  • Sponsor colleagues to perform a Lunchtime Line Dance! Don’t forget your jeans and Stetson.

  • Go retro and arrange a ticket only ‘Double Denim Disco’.

  • Fancy a bit of a fitness challenge? A sponsored walk might be more your style (in denim, of course).

  • Gather friends or colleagues for a Denim themed BBQ (it’s summer – why not!). Tune in to Radio Enham to provide the music.

Radio Enham is so much more than just your average radio station

  • Gives disabled volunteers and DJs a unique way to connect with local community, and get their voices heard.
  • Delivers news, topical discussions, and an array of great music whilst raising awareness about disability.
  • Builds confidence, friendships, communication and vital digital skills.

Don't just take our word for it...

I don’t attend Radio Enham as a speech therapy, however doing my own regular radio show has improved my speech.” - Martin, Radio Enham DJ

“Radio Enham gives me a purpose and a reason to get out of bed in the morning.” - Lizzie, Radio Enham DJ

Talking into the microphone and having my own show makes me happy.” - James, Radio Enham DJ

What impact can I help make?

Enable a disabled DJ to run their own 2-hour weekly show for a month with support £150
The difference this would make to a disabled person's life Priceless

Thank you so much for being part of our mission to support disabled people to live, work and enjoy life.
