For nearly 100 years our charity has been supporting disabled people live the lives that they choose. Enham Trust based just outside Andover is looking for a Trustee who lives and breathes this value and is willing to support and guide the organisation to enable many more years of successful support to be achieved.

You will have experience of working with local authorities, social services, the independent sector or commissioning, either at Senior Executive or Trustee level.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in strategic matters and understand the regulatory requirements of the Care Quality Commission and other relevant regulators.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of good practice within the social care sector including safeguarding.

Knowledge of either physical disability or learning disability services would be an advantage.

What’s involved?

The Board of Trustees are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, to develop the values, goals and objectives in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.

The Board also oversee the work of the Senior leadership Team in running the operations of Enham Trust, working with the team as critical friends.

Practical Considerations

Trustees meet on monthly basis, just outside Andover and these meetings are usually held on a Monday evening between 6pm and 8pm. There will also be other duties to be discussed with the Chairman. 

Travel expenses can be reimbursed.
