Male Support Worker Job Ref: GMW/EW | Permanent | Swindon SN4 | Hourly Rate £10.50 | Closing Date: Ongoing Job Overview: The employer requires support to access the community and support within the home. This role is a lone working position and an Enhanced DBS is required. It is a permanent position, subject to continued funding and the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period. Hourly Rate: £10.50 per hour weekdays, £11.00 per hour weekends Hours: Various Shifts Client Biography: 18 year old male with autism and learning difficulties, who is healthy and energetic and loves the activities below. Support workers for the holidays and term times required. Main Duties: • Plan new local activities• Be energetic and motivated to encourage employer to explore options within his community and develop interests. Current interests are as below• Cinema • Gym sessions• Swimming• Trampolining • Eating out Ideal Candidate:• Experience in similar role • Knowledge of how to support individuals with autism• Knowledge of Swindon and surrounding area• Reliable is very important with excellent timekeeping skills• Motivated and encouraging attitude• Enhanced DBS Check• Legally Able To Work in UK Essential Criteria:Type of experience required: Support experience Length of experience required: 6 monthsAn Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be required the cost will be met by employer.
