Job Ref: LUR/DM - Permanent - TA8 - Pay Rate: £11.50 per hour - Closing Date: Ongoing

I am 11 years old. I have ADHD and additional learning needs. I am very chatty and inquisitive. I love going out for walks in the woods or on the beach. I love animals and nature and will need someone who also enjoys these things. You will be helping me access my community and learning how to stay safe.

Duties:

I will need support to stay safe in the community due to my lack of awareness of road safety, stranger danger, and other risks around me.

I am vey sociable and friendly, however I will speak to strangers and people that I don’t know.

I will need support accessing activities of interest to me, trying new things, and helping my self-esteem and confidence.

I may need reminding about my use of language in the community and about behaving appropriately.

Sometimes I need some time away from my brother so I am looking forward to being able to go out on my own.

I have a love of animals and nature and enjoy being in the great outdoors.

I have a great imagination and love role play, small world play, and engaging with all my toys. I particularly like lego and Harry Potter.

I love arts and crafts and being creative and enjoy having someone to help me with this.

I enjoy lots of physical activities such as swimming, walking, rock climbing, but not really football.

I will need someone who is able to drive. I am a good traveller and behave well in the car and can sit in the front or the back. I do like to play on my phone as it stops me from feeling travel sick or bored.

I will need someone who has good communication skills and who can effectively communicate with me and my parents.

I will need someone patient and with knowledge and understanding of additional needs. Although I am 11 years old, I still play and behave like I am a little bit younger.
