As a Tutor in our Skills 2 Achieve (S2A) programme you will be responsible for managing a caseload of 16-24 year old learners delivering English, Maths and Employability sessions up to level 2 as part of a Study Programme in an engaging and friendly environment. You will work with a team of experienced and like minded individuals providing a supportive environment which enables young people to feel safe and secure in a learning setting to develop and flourish on their journey to further education or employment. You will play a pivotal role in producing personal development plans and schemes of work, whilst working alongside specialist agencies and signposting where appropriate. The role Provide inspirational tuition, support and guidance to learners Ensure effective classroom management methods to provide interesting and innovative learning Provide individualised support to our learners to ensure they have the skills and confidence to progress onto their next steps in employment, training or education. Work with a number of agencies and co-ordinate the delivery of additional provision for the learners. Work with other tutors and the S2A Manager to design and deliver lessons to ensure active participation Maintain all learner documentation to meet quality and ESFA funding compliance Ensure learner outcomes are achieved against KPIs and objectives You You will be comfortable in working with 16-24 year olds who may have had a difficult start in life. Your personality is key; we are looking for individuals who are able to truly engage with young people. You will: Have experience of working with NEET young people. Be passionate about supporting young people on their journey to independence through personal development and work experience. Be comfortable working with external stakeholders, with the ability to acknowledge when it is appropriate to engage with external agencies.
