Reporting to Senior House Manager, you will provide management support to Care Homes Management team to deliver high-quality care and support to our residents.

The Role

We are looking for an enthused, care champion to join us as a Senior Support Worker on a permanent basis, to motivate and support our Care Homes Management team in providing person-centred care and support to our clients.

As our Senior Support Worker, you will:

  • Lead day to day planning of rotas for clients and staff
  • Ensure support plans and risk assessments are monitored and regularly reviewed * Assist clients to plan their life around their needs and goals ensuring appropriate risk assessments are conducted
  • Facilitate opportunities for clients to experience work, volunteering or learning opportunities in accordance with their support plan
  • Provide personal care and support as required to service users whilst encouraging further development of skills
  • Complete staff 1:1 supervision every 4-6 weeks and annual staff appraisals
  • Support and manage volunteers in accordance with the volunteer handbook
  • Maintain your teams training records including role specific training/ competency requirements
  • Cooperate with CQC inspections Key Results Areas
  • Ensure client care is provided to the highest possible standard for every client * Embed and maintain key principles of personalisation to service provided to clients
  • Support team development and knowledge transfer to maintain high quality care standards

What we are looking for from you!

  • NVQ Level 3 in Care (Or working towards) or Promoting Independence or Equivalent
  • Employment experience within a social care or health setting
  • Knowledge of disability issues e.g., relating to physical access, adaptations
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
  • Ability to manage relationships and demonstrate strong communicational abilities when faced with individuals with various backgrounds, communication requirements and specialist needs
