The role

We are looking for an organised Retail Manager to lead the daily operations of our Charity Shop and Cafe. You will be responsible for managing a team of staff and volunteers and you will ensure that the shop is fully stocked and continues to look great!

Our shop is reliant on donations from the public, and you will be responsible for managing the flow of donations through to sale, ensuring that you maximise on potential revenue.

We are looking for someone organised, passionate, and enthusiastic that will ensure that our donors and customers receive the best possible experience. Up for the challenge?

As our Retail Manager, you will:

  • Ensure that stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the gift aid scheme.
  • Ensure all stock is sorted, priced, and steamed before going onto the shop floor in a presentable manner.
  • Managing the Café, meeting all food hygiene and health & Safety requirements
  • Achieve budget profile by maximising sales and minimising costs.
  • Run management information reports to identify opportunities to maximise the potential of different product categories and drive income.

What we are looking for from you!

  • Previous experience managing a charity shop or retail store
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience managing a sale budget
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise and delegate work with volunteers and paid staff.
