Job Ref: RG/MA | Permanent | SO31 Locks Heath | Pay Rate: £11.54ph | Closing Date: 30th Sept. 2021

Personal Care Assistant part time vacancies x2 - self employed.

Thank you for expressing an interest in the advertised roll. This is for my Mother who is currently recovering from a stroke and now requires long term help and assistance at her home in Locks Heath.

Overview from the client

I am a chatty and kind 86 lady who suffered a stroke in September. I have two very part time vacancies to fill for self-employed mature carers to help ensure that I am safe whilst rebuilding my confidence and assisting to rehabilitate me.

I am hopeful that the people who fill these vacancies will work between them to cover holidays and sickness. You must have a car and be willing to use it to help me get back out into the community. Fuel is paid on top to be discussed.

The morning visit I require support to ensure that I safely get in and out of the shower which I can do ordinarily. Whilst I shower, I require housekeeping duties such as polishing, hoovering, ironing etc. I need you to check I have put my hearing aids in properly and that my glasses are cleaned. During the evening visit I will require my medication to be given to me and sometimes a microwave meal prepped.

On a Tuesday and Friday, I am hoping to get back out in the community to see friends and family, go shopping and as above rebuild my confidence. I can be flexible with these days once you are appointed and would ask that you also show flexibility with me.

The hourly rate is paid at the maximum of £11.54 and therefore no additional funds will be paid on weekends or bank holidays. Holiday is not paid for as I am looking for self-employed candidates.

Please provide a CV and a cover letter explaining why you think you will be suitable for this role.

References will be taken out as well as a DBS check.
