Job Overview:
Are you a Personal Care Assistant who could support a 26 year old man with disabilities to live at home as independently as possible to enjoy his home and social life to the full?
My regular carer is going on maternity leave in the next few months so I need cover while she is away. I estimate your employment to start somewhere around February or towards the end of March; the post is for 9 and 12 months. You may be offered you a part-time job as a backup carer should you be interested at the end of your employment.
Enhanced DBS check required
You will be paid a mileage allowance for miles travelled whilst undertaking your duties

Main Duties:
• To assist with all aspects of personal care
• To assist with feeding and drinking
• To move me to and from bed/chair/transport
• Administering medication

Additional Duties:
• Preparation of food and cooking
• Light domestic tasks ironing, washing, vacuuming
• Shopping
• Errands e.g. collecting medication, duties will vary from day to day any other reasonable duties required

Hourly Rate:

£10 per hour weekdays 06:00-18:00, £11 per hour 18:00-06:00 weekends & bank holidays

Ideal Candidate:
• Someone who can work flexibly, (reasonable notice will be given)
• Understanding of Health and Social Care
• Reliable, honest, and trustworthy
• Patience and good communication skills
• Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision
• Physically fit and healthy to be able to adequately assist
