Place of work: Employers home and out in the community

Hours:  Tuesday to Friday 15:00 – 17:30 (10 hours a week) Term time. There will be opportunities for more hours during school holidays/weekends.

 

Part time Role involving providing care and doing various activities with our son afterschool. Our Son has learning difficulties and sensory processing disorder meaning he can get over stimulated. His behaviours are similar to that of Autism and ADHD. He is mobile and loves walks and being outside the most.

 

Hours are 10 Hours every week at £9 per hour and holiday is paid on a pro rata basis. The hours are made up of 2.5hrs 15:00-17:30 Tuesday – Friday during term time. Opportunities for extra hours weekends and School holidays will also be available. A willingness to learn are essential skills as well as a desirable skills of having an understanding of Learning difficulties in children, Sensory processing disorder, Autism or ADHD.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with care on return from school
  • Occasional Assisting with evening meal

 

Essential requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS required. Cost met by employer
  • Legally entitled to work in the U.K

 

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous care experience
  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Experience of working with special educational needs, including sensory processing disorder, autism, ADHD
