Personal Care Assistant for Gentleman in early thirties 

Southampton Area 

Pay Rate: £11.00 Per hour 


Position 1: 12 Hour Day Shifts x 2 per week ( to cover weekends or 1 week day and 1 day over weekend) 

Position 2: 3.5 Hour morning shifts x 3 per week (every other day) 

Position 3: Varying hours per week to cover holiday/ Sickness 

Introduction: I am married and live with my wife and small dog. I am interested in watching sport from home/ live events. My family and friends are extremely important to me. 

Following a tragic accident in 2011 i sustained a spinal injury which has left me paralysed from the neck down (tetraplegic) I require someone to care for me 24/7 with two carers for transfers/repositioning 


Social duties support to:

Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends

Attend adult education classes 

Attend medical appointments 

Attend Social Events 

Personal Care Duties: 

Support with showering, teeth cleaning, dressing, catheter care, Administering medication, eating/drinking, toileting, hoisting, performing exercises/physiotherapy and collecting medication from pharmacy.

Domestic Duties

Support with grocery shopping, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, laundry, ironing, gardening, pet care. 

these duties may vary day to day 

Essential requirements: 

Must hold a valid driving licence with car and appropriate insurance.

Specific requirements: 

to understand that no two days will be the same, some days will be more fast paced than others. the right candidate must be capable of working both busy busy days and also more relaxed days with less interaction. 

Desired experience

No Experience necessary as all training will be provided, it is more important for me to find the right type of person for this role.
