Personal Care Assistant

Hours Required: 19 hours a week - 3.5 hours a day minimum - 3.30-7pm Monday to Friday.
Hourly Rate: £11.60 per hour

Job Overview:
The employer requires support to access the community and support within the home. This role is a lone working position and an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) is required for all staff undertaking the role. It is a permanent position, subject to continued funding and the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.

Main Duties:
• Ensure needs are met in relation to personal care/hygiene and being appropriately dressed
• To assist employer with tasks within the home, vacuuming, cleaning bathroom, ironing is essential
• Be energetic and motivated to encourage employer to explore options within his community and develop interests
• Provide support for the employer, enabling them to access the local community, broadening their range of activities and independence
• To support the employer to attend local appointments if need be
