Job Title: Personal Assistant

Pay: £12 per hour

Place of work:  Plympton, Plymstock and out in the community.

Hours: Cover for sickness and holiday 

 

I’m a gentleman who is in my early 30s looking to hire a personal assistant(s) to support me with my personal care and medication. My medication involves peg feeding and diabetes medication, training for this can be provided. I am non-verbal but I am effective at communicating my thoughts and needs.

 

My interests include watching 80s Thundercats, Muppet Babies and The Raccoons. I also like a good pamper- which includes having my nails done! As well as relaxing I’m an active person who likes to get out and about going on walks e.g., on the Hoe. I’ve recently got back into trampolining and enjoy swimming.  I’m looking for some who is calm, patient and reliable. I need someone who can work alongside my other PA’s as part of a team and be able to work on their own.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of personal care
  • Medication including peg feeding and diabetes
  • Enabling me to access the community and partake in activities I enjoy
  • Any reasonable task to enable me to live independently

 

Essential requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS required. Cost met by employer
  • Legally entitled to work in the U.K

 

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous experience working in health and social care
  • Experience with Autism
  • Full driving Licence
