Job Title: Personal Care Assistant

I am an 18 year old female living in the St. Budeaux area of Plymouth. I am autistic and struggle with my mental health and I am looking for a personal assistant with experience or knowledge of both autism and mental health matters.

I’m looking for support for 6 hours a week to help encourage my independence and support with my everyday life. This will involve supporting me with trips into town, walks on the moors, support with preparing meals, country walks, possible cooking lessons.

I am looking for someone who would have similar interests to me and enjoys being out in nature, a love for animals and an interest in photography.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Enabling
• Food preparation assistance
• Country walks
• Encouraging independence
• Any other reasonable task to allow me to live independently

Essential requirements:
• Enhanced DBS required. Cost met by employer
• Legally entitled to work in the U.K
• Driver with own car

Desirable requirements:
• Experience in health & social care
• Experience or knowledge in mental health and autism
