Overview
A Permanent contract, subject to a successful completion of a 6 month probationary period. The role involves providing support including personal care for a young gentleman with physical disabilities. This is a lone working position and an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) is required for all staff undertaking the role.

Introduction
I am a 34-year-old man with Cerebral Palsy, I am Diplegic. I don’t let this bring me down, I still live life to the full! I love music especially drum & bass and urban music. I have my own decks and find mixing daily helps me relax. I enjoy going to the cinema and concerts and would love some company at times during working hours.

Hours - 2 hours each morning (More hours will be available)

Hourly rate: £13 per hour

Your Main duties will be to:
Assist with morning personal care
Make breakfast
General housework where needed.

Have a clean, current driving license
Have experience working with disabled adults
Must be able to cook (more than beans on toast.)
Be friendly, warm and caring
Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
Maintain a professional standards and confidentiality
Have a diverse attitude be respectful and adopts a personal approach in encouraging and motivating participation with patience and clear explanation
Have experience of supporting disabled adults in the community
Evidence of training/qualifications related to the care field (NVQ or equivalent)
Basic first aid
General knowledge of Health and Safety
