Personal Assistant

Pay: £8.72 per hour
Hours: Up to 21 hours per week

I’m a 54 year old gentleman who is tetraplegic living in the Plymstock area, who is looking to build a team of PA’s to support me with my personal care routine.

I’m looking for support Monday-Sunday 9.30am-10.30am for my morning shower routine. This involves supporting me using a stand aid, drying, putting on compression socks and changing over my night bag to day bag. I need someone who is reliable with good timekeeping as I have bowel management with the district nurse 3 times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I need someone to support me with my toiletings needs after this.

I require support in the afternoon Monday-Friday for 45 minutes to support me to use my standing aid while I do exercises. I’m flexible regarding the time for this.

My bedtime routine is Monday-Friday 10pm to support me with getting ready for bed and changing my day bag to night bag.

Please note I’m looking into having an assistance dog in the future which will be a Labrador or a Retriever.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support with personal care such as drying, getting dressed, changing day and night bag.
• Support using stand aid and transferring
• Any other reasonable task to allow me to live independently

Essential requirements:
• Enhanced DBS required. Cost met by employer
• Legally entitled to work in the U.K

Desirable requirements:
• Experience in health & social care
• Driver with own vehicle
