Overview:
Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to support them to undertake various tasks at home and in the community. This is a lone working role. The role is permanent, subject to ongoing funding and successful complexion of a 6-month probation period.

Pay rate: £10.50 per hour.
Holiday: 5.6 weeks per annum pro rata (including bank holidays).

Hours:
24 hours; Monday to Friday, different timings for various activities.
Monday 9:30am -3:30 pm - Gym
Tuesday 3:00pm – 6:00pm – Swimming
Wednesday 9:30am-3:30pm- Gym
Thursday 9:30am– 3:30pm- Swimming
Friday 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm- Swimming
Subject to change to be agreed with the client.

General Duties:
• Support client with all aspects of personal care.
• To support the client to make and maintain relationships in their groups.
• Attend local activities in the community, such as attending physio/ gym and swimming once and or twice a week.
• Support site seeing, train watching, taking the bus, visiting the theatre.
• Support to attend other activities the client takes interest in.
• Support the client to engage in the activities arranged with them.

Essential skills and experience:
Experience in a similar role.
Knowledge and experience of supporting an individual with a disability.
Manual handling is essential.
Must be able to drive.
Fit and confident swimmer.
Be able to put the wheelchair in and out of the car.
Friendly, approachable, engaging, creative and takes the initiative.
Person centred practice.
