Job Overview:
Supporting a young male client with a learning disability to access the community and help within the home. This role is a lone working position and an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) is required for all staff undertaking the role.

This is  a temporary summer position for 5 weeks only, July 29 – August 30, 2019.

Hours: 19 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £11.00

Main Duties:

• Ensure needs are met in relation to personal hygiene and being appropriately dressed
• To assist employer with tasks within the home, light cooking, cleaning and ironing
• To assist employer with mealtime activities such as feeding and drinking
• Be energetic and motivated to encourage employer to explore options within his community and develop interests
• To record all relevant information and perform all necessary administrative tasks with complete confidentiality.
• Provide support for the employer, enabling them to access the local community, broadening their range of activities and independence
• Similar interests

Ideal Candidate:
• Experience in similar role
• Similar interests as above
• Knowledge of how to support individuals with a learning disability
• Knowledge of Swindon and surrounding area
• Flexible, Calm and reliable
• Motivated and encouraging attitude

Evident Support experience
Length of experience required: 6 months
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be required the cost will be met by employer.

Use of Own Car: Yes
