Support the Move Programme
Find out how you can help support the Move Programme
To date, thanks to your hard work and dedication, the Move Programme has supported over 4,000 children and adults with disabilities & complex needs in their journey to independence.
Even when our clients felt they would never be able to make progress, we’ve been able to significantly improve their functional mobility for both learning and life.
The strides we’ve made to ensure every one of our clients achieves their goals; whether learning the skills to walk unaided around the classroom or play with their friends in the playground, has been tremendous, and together we can support even more children to be as independent as possible…

How do other people support Move?
Generous Support from our Friends of Move Hampshire
We are incredibly grateful for the continued support we receive from the group: Friends of Move Hampshire. Through hard work, commitment and creative thinking, in the ten years or so that the committee has been involved with the charity it has raised well over £100,000 to enable us to promote the Move Programme across the county of Hampshire.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the past and present members of the committee for their dedication. The money they have raised over the years has enabled us to deliver Move training to schools, parents, carers, physiotherapists and other organisations. They are making a real difference to the lives of children living with a disability.
Chairman Nicola Robinson’s advice to other fundraising groups is, “To think outside the box and give people who are kind enough to part with their money something in return whether it is enjoyment or a Christmas pudding”.
The committee members regularly put on their collective thinking caps to come up with some extremely imaginative fundraising events, such as:
- An Annual Spring Walk across the Hampshire countryside with or without dogs.
- Family Open Day at Hattingley Valley’s Vineyard and Winery
- Running a raffle, auction, home produce stall and the café at the Vineyards of Hampshire Wine Festival
- Pop up restaurant with students of the Chef’s Academy
- A Pre-Christmas On-line Auction of life experiences
- Ladies’ Film Night
- Christmas Decoration Demonstration with the sale of Christmas puddings and festive larder goodies.
Undoubtedly without the efforts of Friends of Move – Hampshire, we wouldn’t be able to provide the Move Programme to some of the most in-need children and families in the country.
Working with a variety of organisations to improve the wellbeing of children and adults with disabilities and complex needs.
