Move Day 2018
Join us in the celebration of movement and independence by taking part in National Move Day 2018!
National Move Day is an annual event which aims to celebrate the life-changing impact that The Move Programme has for children with disabilities and complex needs.
National Move Day is a chance for all schools and organisations using The Move Programme to share their experiences and celebrate the great achievements of pupils. Move Day can take place at any point during the summer term; giving each organisation the flexibility to take part on a day that suits you.
This year, the theme of National Move Day is “Move at the Circus”!
This theme gives you the perfect opportunity to celebrate your achievements in the most fun way possible – from acrobats to trampoline artists; it’s time to get creative!
The winning school will receive a £500 Jiraffe voucher to use on equipment for pupils at your school!
National Move Day is also a great way to raise funds for The Move Programme, and this year we are hoping that every school celebrating Move Day will support us.
There are lots of fun and easy ways by which you could fundraise for The Move Programme in your school, such as:
- Celebrating all the fun of the Circus by selling tickets to your very own Circus Show
- Inviting family and friends in to sample your Circus Food Stands
- Come into school in fancy dress – from clowns to ring leaders, jugglers to magicians, the choice is yours!
All funds raised are vital in helping us to reach more children that could benefit from The Move Programme.
For schools taking part, to be in with a chance of winning the Jiraffe voucher, please send us your Move Day photos, videos and tell us how it went!
All content must be sent to us by the end of July 2018 in order to be in with a chance of winning the Jiraffe voucher. Click the button below to send us your content.
The prize will be awarded to the school or organisation celebrating Move Day in the most innovative of ways.
