Festive floristry with Friends of Move, Hampshire

The run up to Christmas saw Friends of Move, Hampshire organise a unique and festive event, held on the Hattingley Valley estate near Alresford.

28th November saw Friends of Move, Hampshire - Nicola Robinson and her dedicated committee - organise a fun-filled morning of floristry, ahead of the festive period, for family, friends, and members of the public alike.

Guests were greeted by talented local florist and horticulturalist Sarah Barrett, who spent the morning teaching them how to beautify their homes and gardens, ready for all things Christmas.

Those attending also had the opportunity to purchase their legendary home-made Christmas puddings as well as chutneys, preserves, and home-baked treats – perfect for gifts and goodies.

All funds raised from this unique event will go towards the Move Programme from Enham Trust; supporting children and adults with disabilities & complex needs to gain functional mobility for learning and life.

A transatlantic adventure – Denmark

The Move Programme facilitator, Carol Francis, recently delivered Trainer Training in Copenhagen, Denmark; here, she tells us all about her experiences with our team across the pond.

“This was an enormous privilege for me, and quite a challenge, as I had never been abroad before.

“My hosts were very welcoming and showed me some of the sights of Copenhagen, which made my time in Denmark even more enjoyable.

The course went well and I was in admiration of the delegates who translated to and from Danish as I delivered the training in English.

The delegates were all very passionate about The Move Programme from Enham Trust and could tell of case studies where children in their care had been supported so beautifully to improve their mobility.

“I look forward to working alongside our colleagues across the ocean again in the future and hopefully inviting them to visit the UK soon, too.
