FAQs

How do I pay for my support?

People can pay for their support in a variety of ways.

If you are entitled to support from your local authority we can help and advise you on contacting a care manager or social worker. You can also find a lot more information on the Hampshire Government website that will help.

We will work very closely with your care manager/ social worker building the correct support for you.

Both your local authority and the Citizens Advice Bureau can offer help and guidance on claiming the correct benefits to ensure your income is maximised. People can also pay privately for their support and we can discuss this option with you.

How long do I have to wait for a place at Enham Trust once I am on the waiting list?

This is always a difficult question to answer accurately as circumstances change all the time. Demand for our residential care homes far outweighs supply hence we hold people on our waiting list until places become available.

As soon as places are likely to become available we contact people as soon as we can so that we can start preparations.

If you are interested in Enham Trust as your place to live it is very important to first put yourself on the waiting list.

Can I come and stay at Enham Trust for a short period whilst I make my mind up?

We no longer offer short stays or assessment stays.

If it helps you to make a decision you can spend a few days with us where we can host you with one of our personal assistants. Unless we have accommodation available we are not able to offer any overnight stays. You can spend as many days with us as you wish to help you to decide.

We find it very worthwhile to always speak to other people at Enham Trust during these times to see whether it is the right place for you.
