Local group holds fashion fundraiser for disabled children’s charity

Wardrobe Upcycle Friends of Move Hampshire

Local charitable group Friends of Move, Hampshire, will be holding a fashion fundraiser on 13th June on behalf of national flagship disability project The Move Programme from Enham Trust.

The event, held at Kings Farm Barn, Lower Wield, will see members of the public, friends & family, and anyone who loves fashion come together to enjoy a day of make-up demonstrations, style tips, and wardrobe ‘upcycling’, whilst raising money to help support disabled children in Hampshire gain functional mobility for learning and life.

Move Co-Ordinator, Suzanne Richardson, comments of the event:

“We’re incredibly grateful to Friends of Move, Hampshire, for organising this event for us. It truly is thanks to groups such as Friends of Move that we’re able to continue our work; supporting children living with disability to become more mobile, and therefore more independent.”

During the course of the day, which runs between 9.00-12.00 and 15.00-20.00, there will also be light refreshments, a raffle, and wine available in the evening.

Working in partnership with leading disability charity Enham Trust since 2015, The Move Programme perfectly compliments the Trust’s near century-long ethos – supporting over 8,500 disabled people across the country each year to gain independence, choice, and control over their daily lives.
