Enham Trust to ‘Kidnap’ the Mayor of Test Valley in Charity of the Year launch
Leading disability charity Enham Trust will be ‘kidnapping’ the Worshipful the Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Karen Hamilton, during a day-long fundraising event on 23rd June.
Held opposite The Guildhall in Andover town centre between 10am and 2pm, the event will see the charity ‘kidnap’ the Mayor from her parlour and hold her in a bamboo ‘jail’ in the time-ring; unable to leave until all collection tins are full or she has secured 10 fundraising events & initiatives from local businesses and community groups on behalf of the charity throughout the year.
We’re delighted that The Mayor is able to support us in this way, However, we won’t be setting her free until at least all our collection tins are full, so if you wish to help save the Mayor, come along and donate!
- Sheryl Scott-Clarke, Enham Trust’s Community Engagement Officer
