Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir brings Christmas cheer to local disability charity
On 8th December at 6.30pm, the doors of St. Marys Church, Andover, will open to everyone in the Andover area for a Christmas concert to remember; courtesy of the Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir.
The concert, held in aid of leading Hampshire-based disability charity Enham Trust, will see this 55-strong choir perform some of their favourite festive tunes; from the popular ‘Winter Wonderland’ to ‘White Christmas’, and ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ – first made famous by Judy Garland in the 1944 musical hit ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’.
Having performed over 100 times in just 5 years, the Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir has also raised an incredible £100,000 for local charities – including Enham Trust, whom the choir previously supported in 2016 during the Trust’s commemoration of the 74th anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein.
Tickets are just £10 (£5 for under 16s), and can be booked via: www.enhamtrust.org.uk/militarywives
All funds raised by this event go towards Enham Trust’s ongoing work; supporting thousands of disabled people across the country each year in the essential areas of their lives by providing housing, care, and various employment & skills opportunities to ensure each customer gains independence, choice, and control over every aspect of their lives.
