Andover's Inner Wheel raises £400 for Enham Trust with a 'Race Night'

Andover’s Inner Wheel – in association with the Rotary Club – has raised an incredible £400 for leading disability charity Enham Trust, by holding a unique ‘Race Night’ in Andover town centre.

Chosen as one of two beneficiaries for this event by Inner Wheel President Maria Neal, the organisation held an energetic horse racing night in the Guildhall, ending in a fish & chip supper.

“We’re very grateful to the Inner Wheel for supporting us in this way,” comments Enham Trust’s Fundraising Manager Sarah Affleck. “As a local charity, we rely on the kindness of clubs and societies, such as the Inner Wheel, to support us in our tireless work – ensuring as many disabled people as possible live lives of choice, control, and independence.”

Originally established in 1924, the Inner Wheel has over 100,000 members worldwide. An all-female organisation, the club serves to promote true friendship, encourage the ideals of personal service, and foster international understanding.

In line with the society’s ethos, Andover’s Inner Wheel supports several local charities each year – hosting fundraising events, and raising all-important awareness within the community for their chosen causes – Enham Trust being one.

All funds raised will go towards the charity’s work; supporting over 7,500 disabled people across the country to live as independently as possible.
