Friends of Move Hampshire, Winery and Vineyard Hattingley Valley, near Alresford, has triumphed during this year’s Awards season; achieving an outstanding 100% success rate in all competitions the company has entered for 2016.
The winners of an incredible 19 awards this year alone – including 6 gold medals, and 10 silver medals – Hattingley Valley has notably won Best in Class for English Vintage Rosé as determined by Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships.
As a pivotal element in Friends of Move, Hampshire, Hattingley Valley regularly holds events and fundraisers on behalf of flagship disability project The Move Programme from Enham Trust; raising thousands of pounds each year in a number of different ways to support the charity’s vital work across the country – ensuring children and adults with disabilities and complex needs can live as independently as possible by gaining functional mobility.
Their newest wine - a Blanc de Blanc 2011 vintage - which has only recently been released, is already making waves; winning gold at the English & Welsh Wine competition.
“It’s massive to win awards,” commented Hattingley Valley’s Vineyard Assistant James Matyear. “And great recognition to the team effort that goes into producing each and every bottle of Hattingley Valley’s sparkling wines.”
Hattingley Valley’s latest events, an Exclusive Chefs’ Academy Pop up Restaurant and Vineyards of Hampshire Wine Festival, saw hundreds of people across both events gather together to enjoy quality food and wine, whilst raising an incredible £6,000 for the charity.
