Firewalk & Family Fun Day raises over £4000 for Enham Trust

Charitable daredevils in their masses recently descended upon The Weyhill Fair Pub, near Andover, to take part in a firewalk & family fun day; raising £4,770 for leading disability charity Enham Trust.

The whole-day event saw 17 people take part in a red hot walk across hot coals, after enjoying an afternoon of fun family activities, all in aid of the Trust’s vital cause.

The firewalk for Enham Trust came as part of a calendar of events created between the charity and the pub, as the organisations team up for 2016.

I was incredibly excited (and a little nervous!) to take part in the firewalk,” remarked Enham Trust’s Fundraising Manager Sarah Affleck. “I did it with a friend of mine who had firewalking on her ‘bucket list’! To be able to do something this unique and exhilarating whilst raising money for an important cause feels great.

All funds raised will go towards Enham Trust’s work across the country; supporting over 8,500 disabled people in the cornerstone areas of their lives – providing housing, care, and employment & skills to ensure all their clients live as independently as possible.
