As part of our Information Advice and Guidance Service we support disabled people to employ their own staff as Personal Assistants. This vacancy is not a role within Enham Trust but an excellent opportunity to work directly for one of our customers.

Job Overview:

Enham Trust are helping to support a friendly, good humoured physically disabled man (34) living in his own home in Southampton to find a personal care assistant who can join his care team. Support is required with all aspects of our clients daily life including personal care. Previous experience not essential as full training will be provided.

Hours:

Currently looking for one full-time or two, part-time PAs to cover on average 3 x 12-hour shifts per week including weekend work. Regular shifts on a 2-week rota prepared 8 weeks in advance with overtime available to cover sickness and holiday. Alternate weekends off. 

Rate of Pay

Weekdays £8.44
Weekends £12.03

Main Duties:

  • All aspects of personal care including support with showering and dressing.
  • Support while studying
  • Food preparation, cooking and help feeding
  • Support client to keep the flat to a good level of cleanliness
  • Take service user out in his adapted vehicle including appointments, supermarket and visits to friends and family

Essential Criteria:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Confident driver with a full, clean UK driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Legally able to work in the UK
