Job Description

To assist a lady with a variety of tasks in her own home as she has mobility issues which will support her to retain and increase her independence. Maintain her quality of life and respect her freedom of choice, whilst minimising the risks to her health and wellbeing.

Main Duties
These duties may vary from day to day due to the varying nature of the illness.

  • Provide support with daily personal care routine.
  • Administering medication as required.
  • Basic cleaning with the occasional deep clean.
  • Support client to go shopping.
  • Prepare and cook meals.
  • Accompany client within the local community such as going out for trips, to the gym, to swimming, or to the cinema, to the feel good factory and just going out to have some fun,
  • Accompany client to appointments as required.
  • Pushing the wheelchair as required.

Hours: 
21 per week for 1 or 2 PAs.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 10am to 5pm

Essential criteria:

• Patience and good communication skills
• Physically fit and healthy to be able to adequately assist me
• Full Driving Licence (own car) & appropriate insurance
• Trained in the use of equipment for moving & handling people.

Preferred:

Experience in this type of work is preferred but not essential - more important is a fun personality, sense of humour and a relaxed attitude with an ability to remain calm.
