Would you like to become a Personal Care Assistant and make a difference to someone’s life?
I am seeking a friendly, reliable female Personal Assistant (PA) who can help me to retain my independence and enjoy my life to as best I can. I would also consider employing 2 PA's to jobshare.

I am an intelligent lady who has MS. I require assistance with personal care tasks, preparation of meals and some light domestic tasks. I am a wheelchair user who will require your assistance to drive me in my mobility car to hospital appointments and trips out.

Main Duties

  • To provide general practical support
  • To assist with daily personal care (showering routine, getting dressed), whilst promoting as much independence as possible.
  • To support with carrying out light domestic tasks such as housework, laundry and shopping.
  • To assist with preparing and cooking meals, providing drinks as required
  • To assist with my friendly Canine companion.

Ideal Candidate

  • Good communication skills
  • Friendly and caring approach
  • Genuine desire to help people
  • Physically fit as manual handling required
  • Enhanced DBS Check (this is a requirement of this post which will be paid by the employer)
  • Legally Able To Work in UK

Essential Criteria

  • Must have training/experience of Safe Moving & Handling of people and also Infection Control
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety procedures when working with someone who has a disability
  • Good cooking skills or willingness to learn.
  • Good attitude to work, empathy and willingness to learn are important.
  • Full driving licence
