You will work individually to support the client with their emotional needs and to help them to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible. The work will be in the client’s home as well as out in the community, so drivers licence and own car is essential. Social distancing will be maintained wherever possible. Days and times of work may vary weekly. It is a rewarding role that enables you to make a difference to the life of a vulnerable person in society. The successful applicant will demonstrate care, compassion and an understanding of the needs of someone who is autistic and who suffers with mental illness. The person will need to provide two satisfactory references. Enhanced DBS will be carried out. This is a varied and interesting role that would suit someone who would like to work in the social care sector.COVID-19 considerations: We can offer face to face interviews where sanitisation and cleaning procedures are in place and a 2m distance is adhered to. Duties and Responsibilities:• Supporting the individual with social and physical activities• Accompany the individual to appointments• Helping them to get to work, college or University• Supporting and encouraging with personal care, such as hygiene, appropriate clothing• Supporting and encouraging with tasks around the house • Supporting and encouraging with health related matters• Occasional weekend work will be expected• Social distancing will be maintained wherever possible Essential Requirements:• Legally entitled to work in the UK• Cheerful and friendly• Kindness, compassion, good communication and listening skills• Flexibility and strong organisational and time management skills• Non smoker• Drivers licence with own reliable and clean car• Good English and Numeracy skills• Enhanced DBS required.
