Job Overview: To provide care in the client’s own home, enabling her to retain and increase independence where possible. To assist with all aspects of daily life including undertaking domestic and family activities Main Duties: To assist client with all aspects of personal care as required To assist client with moving and handling requirements as directed To assist with childcare, including school runs To prepare meals and drinks as required Domestic cleaning/laundry/household tasks To assist with shopping Running errands on client’s behalf To act as client’s driver and escort To assist client to attend social activities, school days etc. Duties will vary from day to day. As client’s needs will vary, it is important that the Personal Assistant is flexible about what the work involves and agrees to undertake any other reasonable tasks requested. Hours: 37.5hrs / Weekdays + mileage payments Some occasional evening and weekend work may be required Ideal Candidate: Non-smoker (for client health reasons) Full driving licence Experience in supervising children Ability to plan, organise, and multitask with minimal supervision Professional, punctual, reliable, honest, and trustworthy A positive outlook and a sense of humour Enhanced DBS Check Legally able to work in UK Type of experience required: Experience in providing personal care, and supervising children (essential). Length of experience required: 1 year minimum. Full Driving Licence: Yes (car, manual). Must be able to drive the client’s Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) including motorway and city driving. Familiarisation training can be given.
