Job ref. EP/AM | Temporary | Langport, Somerset | £770 per week* | Closing Date: 30th June 2019

Job Overview:

We have a vacancy for a Personal Assistant to provide care support for a disabled 22-year-old woman whilst she is back home from university over the summer of 2018

About Me
I’m 23 years old with a physical disability, Cerebral Palsy, which means I rely on a wheelchair. I have just finished studying Criminal Investigation with Psychology at Southampton Solent University and will be looking to do some voluntary work in this area. I need PA / Carers during the summer through this transition period.
I'm a bubbly, fun-loving person with a great sense of humour. I have a very supportive family and a good network of friends. This creates a relaxed, inclusive environment that all my previous PA's have really enjoyed working in. My interests include days / nights out, Harry Potter, Disney and I’m a keen dog lover. It’s important for me to stay fit and healthy and hence I enjoy swimming and going to the gym. This would make the work ideal for someone with similar interests.

About the Job
You will provide personal & social support. This role goes far beyond simply care work and includes all the fun things you’d expect a bright young woman in their early twenties to be doing, like going to see friends, going to parties, the cinema, going on holiday, playing a bit of sport and much more!
*Weekly live-in rota: 7 days per fortnight (Flexible rota)
Previous PA's have often used the flexible working arrangements that come with the week on/week off set up to balance earning money with plenty of free time. The combination of this, with the knowledge that they are having a positive, daily impact on someone's life, and the relaxed, inclusive working environment makes this a unique and exciting opportunity.
Care experience is not required as full training in the client's particular requirements will be provided.
The client will be living with her parents in Somerset, where you will be provided with a PA room with en suite facilities.

Pay & Benefits
*£770 per week worked
Free accommodation and meals when on shift
5.6 weeks’ holiday pro rata
