Clerical Assistant (£12 per hour)

Do you have a passion for all things clerical? Are looking for an exciting and varied role? If yes, then this could be the role for you.

This role is Monday to Friday, for 16 hours per week (flexibility required) and will require you to support a disabled gentleman to carry out his work duties as Policy and Project Specialist at Enham Trust, a leading disability charity that supports over 6500 disabled people each year to achieve independence, choice and control.

The main duties of the role will require you to provide administrative and clerical support inclusive of;
• Taking meeting notes
• Typing of emails
• Answering telephone calls
• Setting up meetings

In addition to the above, some personal support is also required. This will include:
• Support with use of ventilator (training will be provided)
• Occasional support to eat food
• Occasional driving of Enham Trust vehicle

These duties are not exhaustive. You will be expected to undertake such other duties as may from time to time reasonably be required.

About You

The role will suit a candidate who is reliable, conscientious and attentive. You must be comfortable using IT equipment and adaptive technology. You will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• IT skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Experience in an office environment (paid or voluntary)
• Experience handling business phone calls in a professional manner
• Reliability and discretion to maintain confidentiality at all times
• Professionalism – you need to be able to represent your employer in a professional and confident manner in any context. Most importantly, you must have a genuine desire to meet the needs of the individual you will be supporting.

Additional Information:
• A full UK Driving Licence is essential as you will on occasion be required to drive the individual to external meetings using an adapted vehicle.
• Successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, provide two references and proof of right to work in the UK.
