The Role

We are looking for a talented Assistant Management Accountant to join us on a fixed term basis to help lead us in the implementation of a brand-new Finance System. Your role will be to provide guidance throughout the process and lead the preparation of our data within Managed Accounts to ensure a smooth transition. This will include reconciling the accounts that we hold on behalf of our clients as well as our local authority contracts in preparation for data transfer.

While the implementation of our new system will be your primary focus, you will be a key player in supporting the finance function and you will have a starring role in the processing and paying of managed accounts.

As our Assistant Management Accountant, you will:

  • Be a vital member of the panel responsible for the selection and implementation of our new finance system.
  • Be responsible for the review and reconciliation of client and contract account balances, resolving any missing or queried transactions with customers and/or the relevant manager.
  • Identify, design and implement process improvements within function, ensuring that records are easily reconcilable at any given point.
  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate the provision of timely and accurate reporting.
  • Undertake any related ad-hoc departmental duties as required.

This role will be working remotely until COVID lockdown restrictions are eased.

 

Key Results Areas

  • Implementation of the new finance system, with documented processes which will improve the efficiency within the department.
  • The design of clear processes which ensure the smooth running of the Managed Accounts Function.
  • Client and contract accounts are reconciled and have been agreed with clients and local authorities.

 

What we are looking for from you!

  • Experience selecting and implementing finance systems.
  • Previous experience and track record with reconciliation.
  • Previous experience of creating and improving processes and controls within a finance function.
