Are you an experienced Activities Team Leader? Or an Activities Co-ordinator looking for the next step in your career?

Leading UK Disability charity, Enham Trust, is seeking an Activities Lead to inspire and lead a team of Activities Coordinators to deliver a range of activities and exercise sessions which meet the needs of individuals. The role will require you to create a person centred environment enabling maximum achievement.

Our Day Opportunities department supports adults with disabilities and learning needs and you will be responsible for driving and motivating team performance whilst keeping client experience at the heart of delivery.


The role

  • Lead on developing bespoke activity packages
  • Take an active lead in informing the Care Services department about any changes to Choices activities and customer attendance.
  • Work in partnership with other external activities providers to provide, events, workshops and risk assess for health and safety concerns.
  • Lead, and demonstrate vision and ability across the department
  • Manage, support, develop and mentor team members within the Day Opportunities department.

You

You will:

  • Have experience of working within Day or Residential Services.
  • Have experience of managing a team of Care Staff or Activities Coordinators in Residential Care Home or Day Centre and off site for arranging events and trips out.
  • Knowledge of programmes to promote purposeful activities health and wellbeing for adults with disabilities and/or long term health conditions using outcome based approaches.
  • You will have experience and relevant skills/qualifications to lead on developing bespoke activity packages that meet individual needs in line with the appropriate assessment of needs in partnership with external support including parents and health/social care professionals.
  • A desire and knowledge of disability to work for a supportive charitable organisation as well as strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
